Assyria:

What would you do if you ruled the great ancient country of Assyria?  Ancient Assyria was found in modern day Turkey.  The ancient and modern kings of Assyria were great and powerful rulers, and they had many similarities and differences.  Specifically in this essay we will discuss one similarity and one difference between ancient king Ashurbanipal and king Abdullah Gull.

As their similarity, both Ashurbanipal and Abdullah Gull were very respected leaders.  Ashurbanipal was a very good leader, and respected by his people.  He cared about everyone in his kingdom and wanted the best for them.  He built a library so that everyone could get a better education, and everyone loved him. They called him "the King of the Universe".  As he was respected by his people, he was greatly feared by his enemies.  Abdullah Gull was also greatly respected.  he was rewarded for the "Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath".  That meant he was very respected in the military.  That was very honorary for him.

As their difference, Abdullah Gull was very loved, and kind, when on the other hand Ashurbanipal was very selfish and loved power.  Abdullah Gull was very religious, and was the first president there with Islamist background.  He also served as a prime minister, and put a significant contribution to inter-relations.  Ashurbanipal was a good leader, but he could be very selfish.  He loved power, and wanted to control as much land as he could.  He enjoyed subjugation of many countries he had taken over and ruled.  In order to defeat other countries, he sent out his powerful armies, but mostly stayed behind, protected at his capitol.
